"One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple." —Psalm 27:4-5

Stop and listen. Be still and dwell. Look and see past the fields of green hedged by trees. There is more than a strong breeze of the ocean that sways the tall grass. Beauty is around my easel as I take a breath and begin placing paper to canvas. The work is a reflection of my reality no matter where I stand. It is a gift to my audience to share the many moments of creation's majesty. The Lord's temple is not just the buildings of stone and wood with bells in their steeples. His name can be proclaimed in a quiet meadow as the sun shines bright. My work not only depicts physical places of dwelling in nature, but speaks about the underlying places where I take time to be in the presence of God as I create.
